San Blas Islands

They are an archipelago in the northeast of Panama with about 365 islands and islets, known for their white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. The tropical climate and rich marine life make them ideal for diving and snorkeling. The region is inhabited by the Guna people, who preserve their culture through their language, traditional clothing and crafts such as molas.

Administered by the Guna Congress, the islands are kept protected to preserve their environment and culture. Access is mainly by charter flights from Panama City or by boat from the port of Cartí. Tourism is regulated to respect local life and the environment, offering an authentic experience in rustic accommodation.
